Tech Deck Tricks: Darkslide

-Find a ledge a couple inches high.
- Get in a standard finger position, and approach the ledge.
- Ollie near the edge, 90 degrees.
- Half-heel flip
- Slide to the edge of the ledge
- Lean forward as much as possible
- Turn 90 degrees again, and flip your board when you get off the ledge
- Landing!

Want to finger skate but can't afford tech decks? Well, have I got a solution for you!

How to build a homemade tech deck:

You need:
8 1/2-by-11-inch sheet of paper
Tape

- 1
  
  Place a piece of paper on a hard surface, horizontally.
- 2
  
  Fold the sheet 'hamburger style', in half.
- 3
  
  Bring the bottom side of the paper up so that it is even with the top edge. Crease the fold with your finger.
- 4
  
  Bring the left side of the paper over to the right side again and crease the fold so that the paper is folded in half. Repeat this action again to reduce the paper in half.
- 5
  
  Place two pieces of adhesive tape on the ends of the paper to hold the halves in place. Do the same for the long edge on the right side to hold it shut.
- 6
  
  Grab the bottom edge of the paper and fold it up 1/2-inch and crease the fold. Do the same for the top edge of the paper. These folds will slowly move to a more upright position and serve as the skateboard's tail and nose.
- 7
  
  Turn the paper skateboard over and apply a few strips of the adhesive tape along the bottom side of the board. Be sure to leave no part of the paper exposed on this bottom side. Flip the board back over and use your fingers to glide it along any surface.

1) Put middle finger on the tail and the index finger near the bolts of the board*
2) Pull the board back, pop the tail down and throw it up forward. Use a fast motion. The tech deck will almost seem like it is stuck to your two fingers.

Tricks: Varial Heel Flip

Instructions to do a Varial Heel Flip on a Tech Deck.

Place your index finger under the nose of the tech deck fingerboard
Put your middle finger on the middle of the tech deck (or in other words, the tech deck logo)
Put your ring finger on the tail of the board
Spin your fingers to the right

How to Make Tech Deck Mega Ramp

This is a modified version of the instructable....

Materials:
- A cardboard box
- White paper or construction paper (MAYBE...read on to find out)
- Scotch Tape (MAYBE...read on to find out)
- Scissors
- Duct Tape
- Books

STEP ONE

take the box you have and cut off anything hanging off the side. Please keep the left overs for use later. Bend the carboard as if you were trying to fold it in half. This is to make sure the ramp doesn't make a right angle. Bend it into a ramp--hehe, that simple. Just tape the ramp all over on the side you want to use it. This is to make the tech deck riding smooth and easy to ride on.

STEP TWO

You want to make the ramp steeper in some places than others. Test it out, don't be afraid! Now use the cardboard pieces left over from the earlier step and take one of them and tape it under the jump part to the ramp, then either tape the piece to the ground directly with duct tape (WARNING: THIS WILL MAKE THE GROUND STICKY!!!... ASK PARENTS!!) OR tape a regular piece of paper to the ground with SCOTCH TAPE and tape the piece of cardboard and the paper with duct tape. Let it support the ramp. Then place the book on the top part of the ramp. Again, place another book under the ramp either standing up or laying down. Experiment! Use the following image to help you out:

See on the bottom? That should be the left-over cardboard folded in half into a triangle shape. The top part of the ramp is folded and the books keep it down. In my version, you should have another book UNDER the ramp.

If you are worried about making the floor sticky use the regular paper...

DONE!

It's school time again and you have nothing to do. So, get yourself a Tech Deck! Once you have it, how do you use it to impress people?
Put your index finger in the middle of the sign on the board. Do an ollie, do a kickflip, slide the board, put your pinkie up and then slide your thumb on the tail then land.

Warnings

Skate before the bell, or you will get in trouble for being back to class late!
Don't tighten anything on your board too tight; the screws strip easily!
When trading boards make sure the wheels are secured
Try not to loosen hardware so much as bolts or truck as you can't buy them separately
Don't walk into any walls; you might break something including the board.
Try to avoid faces of people while tricking, they tend to not like a kickflip to a 50-50 on the bridge of their nose.
When skating in class make sure the (substitute) teacher is not looking, turned around looking at the chalk board, or in her own desk so she won't take your tech deck

First, lets dig up a bit of information on the generic term for a tech deck, a fingerboard, ...via Wikipedia:

"A fingerboard or fingerskate is a miniature version of a skateboard complete with moving wheels, graphics and trucks.[1] It is the same shape as a skateboard, but is approximately 97 millimeters long. Skateboarding tricks may be performed using fingers instead of feet. Lance Mountain helped develop fingerboarding as a hobby in the late 1970s and wrote an article on how to make fingerboards in TransWorld's SKATEboarding magazine in 1985.[1]

Although finger boarding was a novelty for years, they became a collectible toy as skateboard manufacturers realized the potential for product branding and profit starting in the 1990s.[1] Fingerboards are now available as inexpensive novelty toys or as high-end collectibles complete with accessories one would find in use with standard-size skateboards.[2][3][4]

Fingerboards are also used by skateboarders as 3-D model visual aids to understand potential tricks and maneuvers;[5] many users make videos to document their efforts.[6][7][8]"

A bit of info on Tech Decks:

"Finger boards have been a peripheral part of the skateboarding industry since the late 1980s and were originally marketed as keychains."[1] Although barely "rideable" they were improved upon by the Tech Decks brand which mass produced a "rideable" miniature skateboard.[3] Other "major players in the skateboard industry" soon followed in hopes of reaping profits as young toy-playing children would choose to take up skateboarding."
